Event – Fund Raising Bazaar @ *SCAPE

We had our Fund Raising Bazaar last Saturday – 3rd of Decemeber 2011. It was a joint effort with 3 other talented crafters, with the intention to raise fund for the Children’s Hunger Fund.

Though the profits we made on that day weren’t a fantastic one, we did create awareness to the crowd who came to our booth. And to top it off, we had a great time sharing thoughts and ideas, great company that is! :)

With lots of appreciation, a big thank you to all the kind souls who came down to support us. Every dollar of your purchase is going to provide children with nutritious meals.

But hey, this initiative has yet ended! If you wish to give a little of what you have (to the children), many lovely handmades are available online on this site – http://handmadesforcharity.blogspot.com/

Do hurry and grab the items you want before they are all sold out! Help us in our bid to raise funds for the children. Thank you!

LO – Devan Boy

Time flies. I mean they really fly in lighting speed, too fast for me to realize what had happen half of the time and there is no way we could slow it down.

I came to realize this after becoming a mother. For the little ones are growing too fast for us to keepsake each and every single precious and memorable moment. The fellow who once tortured me every single night after he landed in our family, crying for food and making me oh so phobia of wiping his soft and massive poo, is turning three in less than three months time.

He’s no longer the baby who’d sit contentedly in a mini bath tube and happily splashing water all over the place while showing off his tiny bunny teeth. He was such an adorable bundle of joy (not that he’s no longer now) and I missed those baby moments of his.

Anyway, it was fun to dig out baby photos to scrap and I used Scraplicious Sketch Challenge #3 to whip out this fun and colorful page of my boy when he was only nine months old. :) And this page was coupled with pretty materials from Pebbles, American Crafts, K1 Memories, Echo Park Paper and Pink Paislee.

Alrighty, that’s all for now. Have a great weekend and thank you for dropping by!

LO – With You By My Side

The two brothers have been each other’s playmate ever since the younger one was responsive to his big brother’s words. And the big brother had waited for quite sometime for his baby brother to be capable of doing more than just cry, drink, sleep and poo.

When the power of these two combine, the house will be so filled with noise and laughers that it can practically shakes! ;) As for their mother, she’d probably be taking deep breaths and trying to keep her head cool while taming those two fellows.

Nevertheless, the presence of a brother has added so much fun and love to the boys. I could somehow picture how the two would be having their man’s talk many years down the road, supporting and encouraging one another as they travel through their life journey. It’s such a blessing. :)

For this page, I had materials from Echo Park Paper, Pebbles, American Crafts, KI Memories, Making Memories, Pink Paisless and 7 Gypsies. It’ll be on display at Scraplicious at the end of this month. So be swing by to have a closer look at it.

Thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

Mini Album – Sweet Romance (Celebrating Turning One Giveaway Prize)

We had a Big One Grand Giveaway four months ago in celebration of Scrappin’ Love turning ONE. A winner was drawn and we’re so very thankful and appreciative of Ellen’s patience in letting us to take the time to make the Mini Album of her and her husband – such loving couple and made for each other. :)

The photo-selection took a huge portion of the time in making the album I must say, all the photos that were sent over to us are all so lovely and each holds a special meaning to Ellen. Next were the papers, the embellishments and the major designing work of putting everything together. Hours were spent at my crafting desk. All of these were very very much paid off when the mini album was placed in the hands of its owner. Ellen was beaming from ear to ear. ;) And I’m as happy as her. *grin*

In the album, spaces were set aside for the lady of this album to journal down her thoughts and many sweet lil notes to go with the lovely photos of her and her man.

All in all, I know this mini album will be well kept, treasured and serve its duty in recording down the happy and memorable moments the couple had with one another and for many more decades to come.

Here’s to you Ellen, have a blissful marriage and happiness with you always!

Cards – Saying Hello & Missing You

Each and every one of us have received and sent out many greeting cards along the way as we grow up. It’s always a joy and fun to make cards for the many special people in our life.

And as for me, the husband will receive two handmade cards from me every single year on our wedding anniversary and his birthday. Isn’t he a lucky man? *wink*

Anyway, you might want to try your hands on making a card over the weekend. Be it a simple Thank You card or telling someone that you miss him/her. You will definitely bring a smile to the person who receives it. I’m very sure of that! :) Try it.

In these two cards, I used materials from American Crafts, Fancy Pants, Pebbles, Pink Paislee and Japanese Washi Tapes. And if you’re keen to win yourself some goodies, hop on over to Scraplicious Color Challenge #1! Have some fun ya. ;)

Alrighty, that’s all for now! Hope you love what I share in this post and thank you for stopping by!

LO – Hand in Hand, Heart to Heart

Hand in Hand, Heart to Heart … Together We Grow – that’s the joy and privilege of having a sibling.

Though they do fight, urge, scream at one another and at the same time drive their mother up the wall … they still love each other dearly and have become an important part of one another’s life.

May the both of them hold on to each other’s hand as they travel their journey – thorough the rough times, the happy moments, the tears and the laughers.

I did a layering on the photo and it beautifully brings out the depth and focus I wish to have of the brothers holding hands. You could try this technique on your own. Instead of having a single photo, play with some layering and you might be thrill with what you can get. :)

On this page, I had materials from October Afternoon, Crate paper, 7 Gypsies, American Crafts, Making Memories, Basic Greys and Jenni Bowlin.

You can find this layout on display at Scraplicious by the end of this month. So do swing by and take a closer look of this layout. You’ll be inspired by the many other awesome projects there.

Thank you for dropping by and have a great week ahead!

Card – Sending Love

Whenever there is a special occasion, prepare a card and send it off to the receiver is always a great idea. For the thoughts and well wishes will be well received and kept.

Personally, I’ve a big box where I kept all the cards I received for the past twenty over years and they are all treasures to me – treasures of love and wishes from the people I love and care of.

For this hamper of cards I made, there are plenty of butterflies, flowers, ribbons and pearls. I even used kitchen paper towel to make those lovely row of flowers. ;) And they’re easy to make too.

So, instead of getting a mass produced and stereotype greeting card, you might want to try your hands on making one. It’s fun and easy! Or you can have one customized. :)

These cards are now on display in the store at Scraplicious, so do drop by to have a closer look at them.

Once again, thank you for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

LO – Rach

I scrapbooked my very FRIST layout back in September 2006, it was a 12”x12” layout on Dylan’s baby photos. Today, September 2011, exactly five years of my scrapbooking journey I scrapbooked my very FRIST personal layout – with a self taken photo taken at least two years ago. How wonderful!

I should have done it much earlier though. ;)

Anyway, it’s never too late to start scrapbooking my self-portrait photos! It’s actually kind of fun to snap my own picture. And hopefully I do scrap more of myself and you won’t get bore seeing too much of me! Haha!

In this layout, the pattern papers are from 7gypsies, Pebble, Webster’s Pages and Crate Paper. And many pretty embellishments from Prima, Crate Paper, Webster’s Pages, Dusty Attic, BoBunny and a nice collection of washi tapes.

If you’re observant, you should have notice the pretty punched edge of a layer pattern paper. Aren’t they beautiful? I got my hands on this Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set – Swirling Lace and I simply heart it to bits!

Alright, I got to run off to clear my very very very long To-Do-List. Take care and thank you for stopping by!

PS – You may want to make a trip down to Scraplicious to view this layout up close. I’ll will bringing it down for display at the end of the month.
