Project Life 2015 Week 21 & 22 | Evalicious

Hello to you! Today I want to share with you my number fourteen project using plenty of Evalicious goodness. Time waits for no one, it moves extremely fast when we are having a great time. So here I am, documenting another 2 weeks of my life that evolves around my little family.

PL WK 21 & 22

In these 2 Project Life spreads, plenty of wood veneers were used that created the extra popup dimensional effect. And of course, how can I miss out the puffy stickers? If you have yet snagged any of those gold series puffy stickers, please do so because they work very well in most color combination and give that extra bling to your project!

If you even wondered how I got around having the Project Life card images printed out onto photo paper alongside with my photo images, it was actually the Project Life App by Becky Higgins LLC that did the magic. In the App itself, open up a fresh 4×6 (or a square) photo layout, select the ideal photo layout that consists of various segments, then input your photo image as well as a wide selection of life card designs into the individual segments to form the final photo before saving it into your smart phone as a photo image which you can upload to your printer for printing.

If my above explanation ever confused you, drop me your question and I will do my best to sort it right. ;p Thank you for looking and thanks for joining me on my creative journey!

Project Life 2015 Week 19 & 20 | Kellie Stamps

It has been awhile since the last time I shared with you how I used the stamp sets from Kellie Stamps. Ah well, the school is out! Arrgh.. I am busier than usual since the boys are home from day to night and more outdoor activities which mean I am kept away from my desk more than I’d want to.

WK 19 & 20 PL Full Spread

I had these 2 weeks of Project Life done for awhile now but only got around to snap photos, edit and put together a blog post until now. My bad. Still, I hope that you will enjoy what you see here!

Project Life 2015 – Week 19

Project Life 2015 - Week 20

Project Life 2015 – Week 20

As usual, I preferred to have large photos in my Project Life and coupled with little (but IMPORTANT) elements to complete the finish look. After a round of stamping on photos, it was clear that I have lots of room for improvement.

Project Life 2015 - Week 19, Closeup View

Project Life 2015 – Week 19, Closeup View

In the latest Kellie Stamps released this month, I so love the many hash tags stamps from But First and many more from This Is My Jam. For this particular photo that I stamped on, I kind of screwed up on the stamped image, putting too much pressure on one side that caused that squashed out look on the ‘YOU’. And after some nail biting and hair pulling session, I decided to go with the mess and tried to mend it the best that I could. Ahem.. I chose to close one eye and moved on LOL. I could have thrown that photo into the bin, reprint a new one and try my luck to get the stamping nicely done. Instead, I embraced the imperfection and focus on the cute boy with his pouting lips. Ha! :p

And I was delighted to find label stamps in the new release – This is My Jam! I practically stamped tons and tons of them, in different colors, trimmed them down and put them aside. These labels are very useful for journaling as well as stamping in words and layer them on top of photos.

Sending Love with Pocket Letter | Evalicious

Hi there! Wanting to share with you in this blog post a new spread of pocket letter that was stuffed with lots of love and goodies for a lovely friend I adore.

Pocket Letter - Mits - Full View copy

Similar to my FIRST Pocket Letter I created and blogged about a few weeks ago, I filled each and every pocket of a 9 pockets trading card protector with pattern papers, cut-outs, sequins, wood veneers, badge buttons, sticky notes and more. Plenty of pretty Evalicious goodies used in this little gift.

Pocket Letter - Mits - V1 copy

Top row (from left to right):

Left pocket – slotted in some cute vintage camper vellum cut-outs, coupled with pretty pastel sequins and star shape wood veneer. The opening was temporarily sealed off with washi tapes to prevent the bits and pieces from falling out.

Middle pocket – pocketed a few jars of fruity delights and one of my favorite speech bubble cut-outs.

Right pocket – a fun card with the words ‘Life is …’ and I completed the quote with some alphas puffy stickers. Oh yah, Life is SWEET.

Pocket Letter - Mits - V2 copy

Middle row (from left to right):

Left pocket – a card where I gave a personal touch with some puffy stickers.

Middle pocket – some positive vibes for my dear friend, to have happy thoughts on a daily basis. How I love the puffy flowers!

Right pocket – I hope she’ll squeak with joy to receive these cute stamped coffee cups cut-outs, knowing her to be a coffee lover. 😉

Pocket Letter - Mits - V3 copy

Pocket Letter - Mits - V4 copy

Bottom row (from left to right):

Left pocket – the pocket where I wrote a little letter and tucked it in at the back. I included a hand drew envelope, stamped on words and added a puffy heart shape sticker before clipping it on with a felt smiley star paperclip I made it myself. Plus the wood veneer was prefect – Follow Your Heart!

Middle pocket – popped in a few Evalicious badge buttons and some labels and page tags. I found this cute pink typewriter, stamped on it and clipped it onto the pocket.

Right pocket – filled it up with cute sticky notes.

There, another happy pocket letter done and ready to make its trip to a lovely lady!

Project Life 2015 Week 17 & 18 | Evalicious

Hey there! Here are my 2 weeks worth of Project Life spreads filled with noteworthy photographs.

PL WK 17 & 18 - Copy

In these 2 weeks of documentation, I decided to use more black and white photos because of their original busy background and colors. To avoid having a chaotic looking layout, this is one useful tip to stick to to achieve a well balanced layout with pop of colors throughout the page. 😉

I leave it to the Evalicious goodies to do the work to spice things up. And the Verdict, I LOVE the result! It was just so easy and peasy to add in those labels, puffy stickers and stamped images onto each card. *GRIN*

I hope you enjoyed what I had shared with you and thank you so much for looking!

Kellie Stamps NSD Blog Hop Post

Now, allow me to share with you a fun stamping technique, and perhaps you would take up the challenge and create some projects with this technique! *wink*

The usual and most common way of using our stamps is to pick up some ink from an ink pad and stamped onto whatever surface material we want. So how about having some watercolour stamped images? Oh yes, I’m not kidding, I did say WATERCOLOR.

What you need is some waterbase color markers, papers, water spray bottle and of course the essential stamping supplies such as ink pad, acrylic blocks and stamp cleaner. I’m using my distress markers from Ranger to create the watercolor stamped images on 3”x4” white cards.

Instead of the typical one solid color stamped image, I want something fun and of vibrant colors. And here was what happened – I picked a script word ‘TODAY’ from Kellie Stamps May stamp set – Today, applied the desired colors straight onto the stamp piece. Next, holding the spray bottle approximately a short ruler distance from the inked stamp piece, mist the stamp piece lightly and stamped the image with even pressure. To finish off the card, I filled the remaining space with black stamped image in order the make the watercolor ‘TODAY’ to stand out and be the main focus point.

The same goes for the label stamp piece. Color the stamp piece directly with distress markers, mist it lightly with water and stamped. Hey, I got some really cool-looking labels that I can add words on them!

At the end of the day, I created a handful of cards to be included in my Project Life spreads as well as for card making. 😉

Fun with Pocket Letter | Evalicious

Hello lovely!  In this blog post, I want to share with you a creative and fun project I recently embarked on. The Pocket Letter!

Pocket Letter - Chelley - pic 1 SL copy

Some of you might have heard or came across this Pocket Letter thingy on the internet that had set a new wave of excitement in the crafting and pen palling world. Or you yourself are making Pocket Letters and had sent many off to your Pocket Letter Pals. Well hey, I completed my very FIRST Pocket Letter and I wanted to show you just what I had put together and allow me to say this, it was SOOO FUN!!

Pocket Letter - Chelley - pic 4 SL copy

With a 9 pockets trading card protector, I filled each and every pocket with pretty papers and stuffs I wanted to send to my Pocket Letter Pal. Nice little things such as washi tapes, labels, sticky notes, paper clips and most importantly a handwritten letter to my Pocket Letter Pal and tucked it in one of the pocket. Let me take you through each pocket and show you all the yummy Evalicious goodies I had included for a lovely lady whom I got to know from the awesome planner community!

Pocket Letter - Chelley - pic 5 SL copy

Top row (from left to right):

Left pocket – filled it up with a couple of Evalicious fun labels and clipped the pocket closed with a handmade faux leather paper clip.

Middle pocket – a vellum as a base card and threw in a handful of sequins and confetti. I then sealed the pocket with washi tapes and clipped on a cute speech bubble with a nice quote.

Right pocket – filled it with printable, die-cuts and stamped images. Again I used a cute paper clip from Evalicious to close the pocket in order to prevent anything from falling out.

Middle row (from left to right):

Left pocket – some washi tape samples.

Middle pocket – this was the main card decorated with my letter pal’s name with Evalicious alphas and nice puffy stickers.

Right pocket – I hand drew an envelope which I clipped it down with Evalicious’s round arrow paper clip. This is the pocket where my letter was slotted in at the back.

Pocket Letter - Chelley - pic 6 SL copy

Pocket Letter - Chelley - pic 8 SL copy

Bottom row (from left to right):

Left pocket – filled it up with cute sticky notes.

Middle pocket – stuffed in a few Evalicious badge buttons and DIY-ed a paper clip with one of them. I included 2 little charms too.

Right pocket – this got to be my most favorite pocket out of the rest. I stamped a few images of the adorable bubble tea from Evalicious latest collection – Addicted To You stamp set on random stash of pattern papers and fussy cut them. One of the bubble tea images was pasted on to the base card and I add-on a touch of watercolor to spice it up. CUTE! The extra bubble tea cut-outs were tucked in to the pocket and I really hope that my lovely friend will find them useful.

After this first session of Pocket Letter making, I’m very sure I’ll create many more of them! As for this set of Pocket Letter, it was packed nicely and ready to fly across the big blue ocean to my sweet friend who’s on the other side of the globe! 😀

I hope you enjoyed what I have shared with you, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Project Life 2015 Week 13 & 14 | Kellie Stamps

Hiya! Happy to have you with me today as I share with you what I have documented in my latest Project Life (PL) spreads using yet another awesome new stamp release – CRAZY from Kellie Stamps, as well as using bits and pieces from my stash. 😉

In addition, I want to share with you how I managed to have the cool looking title cards out of the Project Life App that I’ve been using since the beginning of this year to plan and design my PL layouts before printing out my photos.

WK 13 & 14 PL 2015 Spread

For these 2 title cards in both week 13 and 14, they were actually the digital PL cards I selected within the Project Life App. I saved my digital PL layout in 8”x8” format in my phone, uploaded it into my computer and used Photoshop (or any software that can do editing job) to crop out the required 6”x4” section. Titles and necessary texts were added on before saving it as a JPG file. Lastly, I used Picasa to send the images to my Canon Selphy Printer and VIOLA, 2 nicely done up title cards went into my PL spreads!

Project Life 2015 - Week 13

Project Life 2015 – Week 13

Project Life 2015 - Week 14

Project Life 2015 – Week 14

This was a delightful discovery because I had ran out on most of the 6”x4” PL cards from my Becky Higgins Project Life – Midnight Edition core kit which is my all-time-to-go-to favourite collection. And with this new find, I can use these stunning PL card designs freely and for as many times as I like to. Yay!

Week Thirteen had been an extremely sad and emotional week for many of us as a nation as we mourned the passing of our founding father. The sky seemed darker and my mood was lousy.

Week Fourteen came along and was I glad that I was able to craft and be surrounded with colors and positive vibes to keep myself upbeat. I did more direct stamping on photos too, although a few of the stamped images looked wobbly and uneven, which was ok to me as I learned to embrace imperfections. :)

If you have any question, drop me a comment and I’ll answer to my best knowledge. Thank you for looking!

Love,

Rach

Project Life 2015 Week 11 & 12 | Evalicious

Hello lovely! In this blog post, I want to share with you another 2 weeks of my Project Life documented.

PL WK 11 & 12 - Copy

In these 2 weeks, besides filling my spreads with lots of Evalicious yummy goodies, I tired bringing in the elements of alpha stickers as well as printed vellum paper and layered them over my photos. And was I delighted to have created such fun layouts!

Project Life 2015 - Week 11

Project Life 2015 – Week 11

Project Life 2015 - Week 12

Project Life 2015 – Week 12

Among the many puffy stickers which I adore, my favourite has to be the Banner Love Puffy Stickers when comes to creating my Project Life spreads. These cute banner puffy stickers with many meaning words effortlessly bring out the best of the photographs and PL cards when added.

Project Life 2015 - Week 11, Closeup View

Project Life 2015 – Week 11, Closeup View

Besides using digital images on our photos, one fun way to achieve the added layer of elements on our photos is to print them on vellum paper, trim them out and layer them above our photos, without the fear of damaging the photos if we were to do direct stamping and not satisfied with the result. What I did was to print out multiple images in varies sizes on vellum papers and keep them aside for future projects.

And when you find that the journaling card was too plain to your liking, spice it up with some stamping and puffy stickers!

I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you here. Have a lovely day and thank you for looking!
